We started this business very quickly without much time to think about the communication end of it. That’s when Christine, owner of Voda Voice and Data Solutions stepped in to help.

Since we are a small start-up, we didn’t need an “office” phone to start. Instead Voda provided their Cloud-based phone system, leveraging our cell phones, with an app named ReachUC. It mirrors what a traditional desk phone can do and then some.

We no longer have to give out our personal cell number for business. We now have a business number residing on our cell phones. Any calls we make using the app are from our business number, not our personal cell number.

Customers can also text their orders to our business number instead of calling us if they choose. If we can’t take their call they can of course leave a voicemail which we can retrieve on the cell phone app or via a voicemail to email .wav file with just one click.

Voda also quickly secured a new phone number for us, but not just any number. They asked us for a word that would represent our business and RICE was it. They were able to find us an available number with that word in it! 631-590-RICE (7423). A nice touch that you would never get from the ‘big guys’!

As our business grows, our phone system can grow with us. We can always add desk phones or additional cell phone app users.

Their customer service and support are really what defines them. We are always able to reach a live person when we need any type of help or service no matter what the time or day is.

Voda took a lot of stress away by helping us with this part of our business. That allowed us to focus on what we do best… making the most unique and delicious rice balls you will find anywhere!

And, like us, Voda is a 100% woman owned local business. Not only are we supporting a business in our community, but we are also supporting women in business!
